Tennessee Wins Big Against North Carolina in Omaha
Vols Advance to 2-0 in College World Series

OMAHA, Neb. (WNCN) – After yet another dramatic walk-off win Friday in their first game in the 2024 NCAA College World Series, the Tennessee Volunteers put another win on the board Saturday night in Omaha with a 6-1 victory over ACC Tournament Champion North Carolina.
In a battle against another high-octane lineup, Tennessee’s bats reigned supreme over the Tar Heels. The Vols’ offense tallied 10 hits, including three doubles and a home run, while the pitching staff held UNC to just four hits.
The Vols’ defense, led by right-hander Nate Snead, shut down any chance of a North Carolina comeback.
